North American Women's Baseball League
Enjoy! Photos were created with NAWBL athletes in mind. This year I am also shooting film, in 35mm and 6x7cm medium format. It will be some time before these photos are developed and scanned into digital form, but we can expect sharper images, with higher resolution, and suitable dynamic range to retain highlights and shadows.
The effort is to improve the quality of NAWBL archive, and share the photos with players.
Future galleries are planned for Lady Spirit, East Coast, and Australian All-Star teams, including images scanned from film. I will also expand existing galleries to include NAWBL games after the All-Star break, with emphasis on teams having fewer photos. For the moment, we have 1700 photos in the galleries below, and 20 rolls of film.
Slide shows have at least 300 photos. Thumbnails will take some time to load, but will typically be saved in your browser cache. (faster next visit) Netscape is notoriously unfriendly to java script routines, but Mozilla Firefox (fast, fast, fast!) is readily available on the web for free.

New Galleries (7/18/05)
Greetings NAWBL athletes! Four new galleries are posted for Ravens, Seahawks, Saints and Outlaws. New galleries are different from others on this page. Since there are many photos, I used a java slide show routine, so the pictures will cycle by themselves. There are buttons for back/forward/pause, and a slider for the thumbnails to help you get around. If scroll bars appear, pause to inspect the photo (some photos fit this format better than others). Also, the blue "back button" will return you to this page, not to be confused with controls for the slide show.Many Thanks to Richard Stallman, head of Free Software Foundation, for his contribution to NAWBL archive, as a guest photographer. If the filename has an "RMS" prefix, you are looking at one of Richard's photos. He certainly has an eye for photography! The photo below, "Nuestro Senor de la Television", is a link to his archive of photos from all over the world.
NAWBL images are for viewing, but not large enough to make prints. If you want prints, make a note of the filenames, and send me an email. Prints are $18 for 8.5 x 11 inches, and $6 for 4 x 6 inches. Prints are glossy, with borders, in protective sleeves. Larger prints, borderless or matte finish are also available. Be advised that players will be getting CD sets, some time after the season ends, with full-size images. This will take some time because there's a lot of work to do, including processing, scanning, and Photoshop work on thousands of images.
